Peter, the wonderful soul, whom we have all known in varying degrees from various points in his life, some have known Peter for a very long time and others a relatively short time but one thing which is certain, however you knew Peter – once you met him you would never forget him. He was a big man with a huge heart, he had a fantastic sense of humour, he was a genuinely funny guy and had real character.

Whenever you saw him he never failed to make you laugh, sometimes with just a look and he was as equally adept at making you cry – especially if he thought you were feeling upset about something, somehow Peter asking how things are just started the water works! He didn’t mean to upset you further, it was just his caring manner, it hit the spot, and he made a difference.

We would like to thank the community care team from the Hospice who have given us support and help throughout the last few years , always there if we ever needed any advice night or day.
